BEMF 2011: Judith Malafronte sets the record straight

Out of the hundreds of tweets posted during the 2011 Boston Early Music Festival (BEMF), this one was (by far) my favorite.

Not to take anything away from the gorgeous and rightfully acclaimed opera production that BEMF presented, but Judith Malafronte has a point, in spite of the differences between the “premieres.”

I do appreciate her candid approach in setting the record straight since it’s all too easy to forget past accomplishments of directors like Newell Jenkins.
