Concert reviews of note.

  • Boston: Director Martin Pearlman led Boston Baroque in a New Year’s program of Corelli, J.S. Bach, Handel, and others.
  • New York City: Sinfonia New York presented a concert of Baroque repertoire with soprano Nell Snaidas on the venerable Bargemusic series.
  • London: Led by Harry Christophers, a 500-person-strong chorus made up of the Sixteen, Goldsmiths Choral Union, Highgate Choral Society, and the English Concert Chorus—accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra—created an impressive and powerful rendition of G.F. Handel‘s “Messiah.”
