Concert Reviews Linked: Padmore in NYC, Coote in London, and Léon in Dublin

A few early music links of note.

  • Schumann in Miniature at Carnegie Hall: Tenor Mark Padmore and forterpianist Kristian Bezuidenhout give a memorable recital.
  • On Fire at Wigmore Hall: Soprano Alice Coote and the English Concert impress with Monteverdi, Handel, Vivaldi, and Dowland (in spite of Coote being under the weather).
  • Quirky Performance: Directed by Jean-Charles Léon, the Irish Chamber Choir of Paris explore the music of 18th-century composers Pietro Paolo Bencini and Henri Madin.
