A few early music links of note.

  • Pärt plus the Renaissance: The Tallis Scholars gave a moving performance of Renaissance polyphony and music of Arvo Pärt at Lincoln Center.
  • Legendary Soprano Continues to Impress: Emma Kirkby and the International Baroque Players delivered an terrific concert at the Brighton Early Music Festival.
  • Vivaldi in the Bay Area: Violinist Elizabeth Blumenstock and the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra presented the “Four Seasons,” as well as music of Corelli, Zavateri, and Durante. Blumenstock’s playing in the Vivaldi had “technical flair and melodic elegance.”
