It’s next to impossible to go wrong with a professional English choir performing English repertory. There are, of course, great choirs everywhere, but there’s definitely something special about England’s centuries-old choral tradition.

In this week’s Harmonia podcast, I give my impressions of two new recordings by a couple of well-known English vocal ensembles who have excellent reputations and healthy discographies. Their recordings of music from Tudor England are not only good but they prove my initial statement.
