It’s no overstatement to say that Daniel Taylor and Matthew White are the finest countertenors in Canada, and two of finest with international reputations.

Both recordings on the podcast do exactly what they’re meant to do: show off the voice. But I don’t mean to put them in the same countertenor box. Taylor and White are excellent musicians while at the same time individuals (just look at the recording selections).

The true measure, however, is in their beautiful voices, each unlike the other, a sensuous expression of personality, genetic gifts, and experience.
