Harmonia Podcast #141: J.-P. Rameau and J.G. Janitsch

Two Montreal-based ensembles and a couple of wonderful recordings.

It’s now expected that a baroque chamber trios record Jean-Philippe Rameau‘s Pièces de clavecin en concert (1741). Masques has done so with no shortage of élan and verve.

The quartets of J.G. Janitsch haven’t been recorded all that often, rarely featured on their own. It’s a pleasure not only to see that Notturna has championed them but that the performance is so good.
