J.S. Bach 326: Jos van Immerseel Performs J.S. Bach/Carl Czerny

From the age of eleven, the great 19th-century Austrian pianist Carl Czerny copied out J.S. Bach‘s keyboard pieces for himself. He continued to revere Bach’s music throughout the rest of his life, making his own arrangements and including select works in his piano tutors.

Here’s fortepianist Jos van Immerseel in a performance of prelude no. 6 in D minor, BWV 851 (WTC I), as arranged by Czerny.
