A few early music links of note.

  • Beijing Music Festival Explores New Horizons: Christopher Hogwood gives a sobering masterclass at the Beijing Central Conservatory, Tafelmusik presents “The Spheres,” and Handel opera with a Chinese stage director (a first).
  • An Italian in Australia: Rinaldo Alessandrini, director of Concerto Italiano, visits Australia for the first time, conducts the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and discusses Early Music in Italy.
  • A Distinguished and Mature Thirty: Hyperion Records begins its third decade.
