Links: Tommasini and the Top 10 Classical Composers
The two-week New York Times challenge to find the top ten classical composers of all-time is over.
Music critic Anthony Tommasini began by placing J.S. Bach in pole position and followed with a steady stream of articles, blog posts, and videos in which he and over 2500 mostly constructive comments whittled down what could have easily been a top 100 list into a manageable (and contentious) ten.
In chronological order, here are all of the pieces by Tommasini (click on a title to read).
