A touching dedication by Nicaraguan composer Carlos Ramírez Velásquez found in an autograph manuscript to his Funeral March “Martyrs of the Earthquake,” written on the first anniversary of the first earthquake to level Managua during the 20th Century.

I composed this march in memory of those who died and lost their property on March 31, 1931 at Managua, Nicaragua.
