Video: Emma Kirkby in Recital at Wigmore Hall

English soprano Emma Kirkby perhaps needs no introduction, except to simply say that she’s one of the most beloved interpreters of early Renaissance and Baroque song in the world.

Here she is in recital at Wigmore Hall, London, with distinguished lutenist Christopher Wilson peforming 17th-century lute songs and airs de cour.

The title of the program is “Music for Henrietta Maria: The French Queen at the Court of Charles I.”
