How do you like your Vivaldi? Period instrument or old-school modern?

How about slow and poetic? Fast and furious?

I may not matter what you’re in the mood for, Vivaldi’s got it all and, these days, it can be had at the touch of a button (or click of a mouse).

Here’s the excellent San Francisco-based ensemble Voices of Music with the final movement (allegro) from concerto for two cellos, strings, and continuo, RV 531. The soloists are William Skeen and Tanya Tomkins.

They’ve got plenty of energy and attitude.
