Vintage Photo: L’AURA, 2006

The above picture was taken in early 2006 not long after my ensemble, L’AURA, won the Latin American Music Center Annual Competition in the Performance of Music from Spain and Latin America (Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University). The ensemble was a reorganization from the group I founded in London, initially a trio.

The members pictured (from left to right) are Anna Marsh, dulcian, Jody Killingsworth, violin, William Hudson, tenor, and myself. It was a good group, to be sure, but a change of focus in repertoire led me to the configuration which exists today, a noticeably different ensemble.

I found the photo the other day while looking through old emails. And while it wasn’t taken that long ago, it sure feels like it.
